This video is a narrative based video. It is a story/life story of a couple who are now old and grey. they lyrics correlate with the image well as the lyrics go through the most significant part of their lives the video shows exactly what the lyrics are describing. the lyrics are saying that he wasn't expecting each part of his life and the video shows the couples life though out the video but the video is backwards they start of old and towards the end they are young.
The video portrays the genre because as the song is an acoustic soft romantic song the images shown throughout the video are full of love and romance between the two characters within the video.
